Falmouth Veterinary Hospital

Amazing, compassionate and supportive staff were very helpful as we grappled with the declining health of our beloved dog. The veterinarian gave us helpful information to make decisions about end of life care. I had worried about being pressured to go to extraordinary lengths - there was absolutely none of that, and the staff honored our love for our dog and her love of us. They gave us all the time we needed to make decisions and communicate with family. They explained everything they did thoroughly. They followed up with a nice card and a consoling remembrance a few days later.

After seeking out help for my kitty with two separate Veterinary hospitals with not as much as a diagnosis, meeting Dr. Clark was a Godsend. She is caring, proficient and a lovely person who took care of every need in our first visit. From physical exam, new diet and helpful hints for home. A breath of fresh air after months of worry and disappointment! Highly recommend.

I have gone to this Veterinary hospital since I was born (my pets of course thanks to my parents), and when I was 13, wrote a letter asking to volunteer and they told me I was too young. Always loved it there. Unfortunately, got a call saying they had to remove my family (dog, cat, in the past ducks, any and all pets over 30 years) because of no specific reason. I was told missed appointments, but they were for euthanasia appointments and me changing my mind. I was devastated that this animal hospital could be so cruel. I thought of them as family, and they kicked us out as if we haven’t provided them service for multiple decades as we deal with the hard decision to put our beloved family member down. I wasn’t given a chance to come in and discuss with anyone, no real reason made sense to me, but I do not recommend Falmouth Veterinary Hospital anymore. While we were there, it was great service, when our dog needed help they were wonderful, but being “kicked out” felt cruel and confusing, because I discussed with veterinarians previously and it was a receptionist who was cruel And unable to answer questions or have me speak to someone about what was going on. I would investigate further but I’m disgusted with the treatment we received over the phone during a very difficult time in our lives, moving, losing loved ones, changing schools for other family, this was the last straw in terms of Falmouth and it’s services to us. If I could give this hospital a negative star I would. I was too nice about them for too long. They are fake nice and we know this now.

We are new to Maine and selected Falmouth Veterinary for our two cats. Dr. Parlin is amazing and was so good with my cats. I've never seen them so calm and cooperative during an exam and they even took treats from her (they never take treats from people they don't know). Dr. Parlin is very knowledgeable and it was obvious she took the time to review the records from their previous veterinarian that I sent ahead of time. We will continue our veterinary care here and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing veterinary care for their fur babies.
